Alice's Story
I am one of those country girls from Wyncoop Creek Rd in Chemung that went to a 1 room school house until 7th grade, then was bused to the big town of Waverly to complete high school. We were known as Chemungies.I married James Moore Jr. - This was second marriage for both of us - He had 6 children I had one and together we had 1 which made us 8 is enough. many opportunities and am still working as General Mgr. of a small company mfg. educational items. James pasted away 4 years ago, our oldest daughter was killed 5 years ago. My 5 step-children still live in Chemung and Elmira, My youngest daughter lives next door to me in Oxford,NC. Frankly, with what life throws at each of us - I joined classmates to help me remember people in the past that has made me the type of person I am.
