Life How does one synthesize 40 years of living since high school? After leaving Camelback I entered Good Sam School of Nsg. It was short lived! I married in 1967 and had my son late in 1969. As I look back that was probably the finest achievement I have! I graduated from ASU in 1972 (nursing), divorced and worked for a while in North Phoenix (critical care and training firemen paramedics). I moved to Boston in 1976 about the time of our 10th reunion! I went to Boston College (MS-Nursing) and stayed teaching at the University of New Hampshire for a couple of years. I moved back to Phoenix in 1979 and worked a while, started a doctoral program and hung out trying to find myself. I began a career with the VA in 1981 and have been with them ever since. I have moved 9 times for the agency and for the past 15 years have directed the graduate medical education program for two medical school affiliations with the VA. I married again in 1989 after 17 years of being single but have since divorced.I have had many academic appointments and have taught medical students, graduate and undergraduate nursing students and medical residents. I currently live in Chico, California and work in Sacramento at the UC Davis Medical School and the Dept of VA health care system in Northern California. I have developed an interest in telemedicine and have spearheaded the project for our health care system. I currently run two clinics myself and provide services to veterans in rural communities (did I mention I am a PhD Nurse Practitioner). My son is married (and is also in Chico) and I have two grand children (ages 1 and 3). Life is good and I spend time cycling, traveling with my job, gardening, seeing the coast of California whenever I can, visiting my parents in Scottsdale and performing with my music group all over the world.
