Alice's Story

Life 1970-72 , moved to Germany , Jeff was born in May. Went for 13 months with no TV or Big Mac and fries! 1972-73 Michigan for 9 months. Transferred to Biloxi MISS. James born -Sacramento CA/ a VW Bettle.Moved -Panama City in 76. Moved to Lansing, kids started school, did lots of volunteer stuff, ROOM MOTHER!. Moved to Montgomery Al.All of us were active in sports I actual swam a mile a day six days a week, of course thats because I was able to hang out at the pool with the kids from about 10a to 2p everyday. We got orders for Germany 1980-83 Had a great second tour of Germany. Learned the language enough to shop, drink, dance, and eat. Got to see the Guenteburg. Worked as an assistant day care manager then became a sub at the DOD schools. 84-88 got divorced, returned to the states. Enrolled at Henry Ford then went on to Eastern MI to get a BS in Occupational Therapy. Survived two major surgeries, and went from surviving being a single mother with two teenag...Expand for more
e boys! to a successful career woman. 88-98 Moved to Virginia: to work in a school system, changed to a hospital setting, then Rehab company.dating and adventures were the course: Ultralight flying, airboat rides, parasailing,climbing to the top of lighthouses. Ate at fastfood resturants too much !Sonsgraduated from High School. Gave my parents a 50th Wedding Anniversary party and a trip to the Bahama's. Said goodby to my Dad in Jan. 98. Mom is still kicking in Taylor, MI 98-01 Accepted a management position for a new 177 bed facility and moved to Winter Haven Fl. Bought a house May 2000. Learned how to Scuba Dive Served on the community college Board of Directors for the new certified occupational therapy assistant program and even taught a couple of night courses. Currently working hard, trying to lose weight, get back in touch with lost friends, and make time to play. Preparing to learn to here the word grandma, attend James wedding, and live the next 47 years!
