Alice's Story

As some of you may know my husband, Jim Jacobs, passed away almost 9 years ago from cancer. We had been married for 33 years. Three years ago I married another great man, Harold Langston. We are now doing some traveling and I am sitting in our travel trailer in Coos Bay, as I write this. I have been very fortunate to have had 2 great men in my life. Jim and I had two children, Jim and Jennifer. Harold and I have 11 grandkids between the 2 of us...Expand for more
. We live in Fallon, NV, which is 60 miles east of Reno. I cannot believe how quickly life is going by; I just wish it would slow down a little. The things I love most in my life are Harold, Jim and Jennifer and all those wonderful grandkids. I have been truly blessed. I worked as Secretary to the School Superintendent and School Board in Fallon for 25 years and am now enjoying retirement. I truly hope to hear from anyone out there reading this.

My hubby, Harold, and I are celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. Wow. Where does the time go!!
Yesterday Harold and I returned home from Cedar Vale, Kansas where we were visiting my grandson, Jimmy, who just turned 16! It was so good to see him again. But I definitely did not see any sign of the yellow brick road!!
Harold and I spent the past week in Brookings Oregon. Today there was a Pirates festival on the boardwalk at the harbor. Look at what Harold caught!!

Three weeks ago today my sweet husband left us. Today is his birthday. He would be 73. We miss you honey and may you rest in peace.
Last Thursday my grandson, Jimmy, graduated from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M University receiving his degree in Ranch Management. I was so happy to be there to see him receive his diploma.
Wishing my beautiful granddaughter, Mikalah, a very happy birthday! I am so proud of the sweet, beautiful, and caring young woman you have become. I hope you have a great day spending time with your sweet sister, Danielle.
How do you like my new cast? I had foot surgery three weeks ago and came home a week ago. It is going to be a long recuperation time
