Alice's Story
April 10, 2010, I married Michael Keas, WHS '71. We tied the knot, in Torrance, and have since been settling in our new home, in Mountain Home, ID. In the summer of 2008, I reconnected with Mike. We grew up on Lee St., a few doors apart, attending Anza school. After we were both widowed, in 2008: God, with his mysterious ways, brought us together. We've been having a blast, sharing memories of our family's, the old neighbohood, and from both schools. We even discovered we share the same birth place, St. John's hospital, Santa Monica! Mike had been living in Idaho for 16 years; I fell in love with the area, too, after many flights back and forth, lots of long distance phone calls, (mobile to mobile), since October, 2008!
I'd been living in North Torrance since 1968, raised 3 sons, all NHS graduates: Keith '94, Sean '96 & Devin '99. I became a widow, after 35 years of marriage, March 16, 2008. Steven C.Narey was a NHS graduate, 1967. the last 2 years, I've been living on a pension, along with being the Administrator of Steve"s Estate, having to sell our 2 houses, dealing with the unfinished business regarding his parent's Trust, handling my mother's unfinished business, and...Expand for more
dealing with my brother's personal & business needs, while he's living in an assisted living facility
I'm never bored, as I constantly keep busy, working on one thing or another. I've been a Tupperware Consultant for 12 years, (yes, I do have a very large plastic collection), along with being an Avon Representative for 10 years.
I enjoy caring for all my critters at home: they've all come to me as rescues, found under unfortunate circumstances. Currently they're adjusting to theie new home: 2 cats >^,,^< , a Red Ear Turtle, Box Turtle, English Spot Rabbit, and a Siberian Husky.
My diverse interest in music, ranges from: Heavy Metal, Alternative, Classic Rock, to a few Country Western groups. Currently I've been enjoying Country Western, which even shocks the heck out of me!
***** My most exciting Rock & Roll Moment:
At "Paul McCartney's" 2005 tour..... During a perfect moment of silence, at the Arrowhead Pond, I yelled from directly across the venue, " I Love You Paul"...... then to the envy of all around me, he yelled back: "I Love You Too"..... :o] *****
