I went to elementary school in El Paso, Texas; junior high in Giessen, West Germany; and high school in San Diego, California. During school, I was a quivering mass of fear, for the most part, and have come to realize that many others were as well.
My great joys during high school were Latin Class, Public Speaking and Rollerskating.
After high school, I began working for a small community newspaper, and met my first husband of 13 years when I was 19. Subsequent to our divorce, I moved to Michigan, and eventually met my current husband Charlie.
Charlie is truly the love of my life, a man I honor and respect for his great wisdom, loving humor, gentle humility, and astounding reasoning and mechanical abilities. We have two children part time from his previous marriage, and they are a constant joy and challenge. I was not blessed with my own children, but love and care for them the best I know how. I could not have asked for two brighter, more creative little lives to pass through mine.

and restoration shop, and are going back to farming. Mostly we just take one day at a time and try to do the next right thing.
When I'm not doing the bookkeeping for my husband's businesses, I enjoy reading anything about Christian religion, Church fathers and Christian philosophy, epic poetry and historical fiction. I have been busy for the past 5 years reading all the books they told me to read in high school, but which I was too lazy to pick up. I am an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous (5 years sober as of 02/07), and I like to do anything relating to the domestic arts, especially cooking, bread baking, and crafts with the kids. I have a bunch of sewing projects that have sat idle for too long, and hope to get back to them once the current business panic has slowed down.
I also enjoy Sudoku puzzles and anything "Law and Order" or "Dog The Bounty Hunter"
I would love to hear from anyone I knew at any of my schools, especially Maria Semidei from Burnet Elementary or Christi McGregor from Giessen Jr. High. If anyone out there has any news on either of them, I would be most grateful to reconnect.
