Alicia's Story
Life
I left Salinas and moved to Chattanooga, TN., in 1984 to complete college. Since then, I have lived in Atlanta,GA., Stamford, CT., Jacksonville, FL., and Louisville, KY., before returning to TN. in 2000. I now live on Signal Mountain overlooking the Tennesssee Valley. I've been divorced since '98. I'm a full time mother to my 12 year old son Zach-who by the way, ROCKS MY WORLD! I spend my week days working as the Director of Sales and Marketing for a company that owns 46 retirement communities Nation-wide. My evenings and weekends are spent mostly at my son's practice or competition de jour.
I speak from time to time for the State and local authorities on the subject of Domestic Violence, Elder Abuse and Stalking. I'm very active with the Coalition against Domestic Violence here in the South East on passing legislation to protect victims of these crimes. It would be nice to return to school and obtain a Law Degree so that I can be more effective in my efforts to help victims. (But who has the time??!!)

Bennett, who taught at WJHS for many years, passed away in 1992 as a result of an angioplasty procedure that released a fatal bood clot. He was still teaching middle school in Jacksonville, FL prior to his death. They let school out early the day of his Memorial service so students could attend and hundreds did. Thank you!
I'd love to catch up with a few long lost pals-Although a FEW of YOU (you know who you are) have managed to "catch up with me" over the years ; )~. I'd love to hear from some of you! I plan to make it back for reunion #30 in 2010. Warning, you may need an interpretor, I'm told that my Southern accent is as thick as a Suzanne Sugarbaker's but frankly I don't hear it ya'll. ; )
