Alicia's Story
Life
I am still married and still have a teenage daughter. I am still a paralegal. Not much has changed since I last looked at my profile. I still take Taekwondo and have achieved my black belt (yes, please be afraid). My parents still live in the same house I did growing up. Hmmm...maybe it's a hereditary thing that change doesn't come often for me. Life is good. God is good. What more is there?
School
After my daughter was born in 1988, I enrolled in Volunteer State Community College. It took me three years to get my Associates Degree. A dear friend convinced me to keep going and get my Bachelor's Degree. In 1991, I enrolled in MTSU. Five years later in 1996, I graduated. I always knew I wasn't the brightest crayon in the box. I have a B.S. in Polit...Expand for more
ical Science with a minor in Paralegal studies and a minor in Business Administration. What's that mean I can do? B.S. with a B.S. really well. :) (and get paid!!)
Workplace
I've held too many jobs in my lifetime, starting out at Twitty City (does this ring any bells? it's a thing of the past...) as a sales clerk and have climbed my way up the ladder (I'm afraid of heights, you know) to becoming a paralegal. I work in Downtown Nashville for a defense law firm that takes really good care of me. My path has crossed many and I am thankful for each one. Without them, I wouldn't be as well-rounded (or pleasantly plump) as I am today. I wouldn't change a thing with my life at this moment for anything. Peace of mind is too much of a wonderful thing to let go of.
