Allan's Story
Life
When I left High School I also left suburbia and didn't look back (until now). I did well enough in college to graduate respectfully, but my greatest achievements there were my four vasity letters in sailing. After many adventures in living in the rural south, I turned my life's passion of sailing into a career. I earned a US Coast Guard Masters Captain's License and achieved a life long dream. For many years I was a yacht captain of luxury sailing yachts in the tropical paradise of the Caribbean. I thouroughly enjoyed the life style and culture of the Islands while living all that time on cruising yachts, traveling to exotic places and experiencing memorable adventures....Expand for more
Some of these adventures of late were the birthing of my two boys at home with the assistance of a midwife. I don't think much can compare to being apart of a life being born. My latest born is a girl who is now two. The needs of these children brings me back to suburbia.
I currently live in San Diego where once again I am playing with boats and yachts for a living. I am proud of my reputation on the waterfront here and my talents for furthuring my marine career.
I don't think back much about Long Island. After a decade in South Carolina, I feel I have roots there and enjoy going home there to family and friends. However, I would enjoy hearing from old classmates:
