Life Life has been good. As with others ithas it's highs and lows but I can't say that I would change very much about it. I have two wonderful kids and anexwife that is a good friend. As with most people here I'm just a little curious about past friends. Workplace This multi-award nominee moved to Culver City with his family at the age of nine where he used the back lots of MGM and Desilu as his playgrounds. Always wanting to be in the film business, Allan made movies with his friends throughout high school and worked on his first professional feature film his first summer after graduating. After working on some low budget features and working with Bill Burrud Productions as a field producer on travel logs for American Express, Allan went to work in the Hobby Craft field where he worked into an executive position with Western Trimming. After a couple of years Allan was offered a position with Burman Studios, where he worked and apprenticed in the at of Special Effects Makeup. Stan Winston was Allan’s next mentor and after two years Allan started his own effects studio, Makeup & Effects Laboratories, Inc.
