Allen's Story
Life
Hello there! It has been a long time since I have comminucated with friends from a bye gone era. I look forward to catching up with you and want you to know how much I appreciate the memmories I have.
After graduating from Westen Washington University I decided to call Bellingham, WA home. I got a degree in Political Science (blah!) and went in for a second round to complete post graduate studies in recreation - yes for real WWU has a recreation program. For the last 9 years I worked for an international mountain guiding company and managed their staff and traveled the globe leading trips to the world's great mountain ranges. If you are really bored or "google" my name. After too many days and nights in a sleeping bag I decided to return to Bellingham and move back into my house and join the rest of the world in the fun game known as "Getting a Life".
I just started working with a non-profit organization in Bellingham and really like it. The only down side inthe last few months is that I have finally settled down but have too few...Expand for more
friends and a slow social life.
So this is just for starters in an attempt to let you all know I am alive and well and wanting to reconnect, touch base, say hello to my cohorts of '86. Stay tuned as I try to put you to sleep.

School

I have good memories of track and cross country events and appreciate what sports did to keep me in line, or at least close to it.
College
At western I had a great experience. In part that is whay I stayed in Bellingham. It is a great place. I remember my first quarter in Fairhaven in the dorms with the Birdman - my best friend from kindergarten. I loved the intellectual aspects of political philosophy so that is what I studied. For better or worse I decided (as an escape?) to take classes for the sake of my own interests - NOT to become anything like a lawyer, or business person. I wanted knowledge for its own sake. And well...
