I lived in Juneau, Alaska from 1976 to December 2015. I worked as an IBM systems programmer and Technical Services manager for the State of Alaska from 1976 tp 2004. In 2004 I retired after 27 years service with the state and embarked upon my "golden years". I spent the next 11 years fishing, hunting and exploring Alaska and the Yukon with annual trips to Port St. Lucie Florida to see our daughter and our four grandkids. In my exploration of the Canadian Yukon I did some river rafting, canoed 450 miles from Whitehorse to Dawson City and have driven all but 260 miles of ALL major roads in the Yukon. I backpacked the Chilkoot trail three times and thus have traversed the entire 1898 Klondike gold rush trail from Seattle WA to Dawson City, YT. .
