Allen's Story
Life
After graduating from TM I went to the University of Texas and began working toward a Mechanical Engineering degree. I worked through school and graduated in 1979. While in Austin I met and married a Houston girl. We married in 1978, 29 years and counting, and have three boys, currently 23, 22 and 19. The oldest attends Texas A&M, the middle attends Sam Houston and the youngest is at the University of Houston.
If you read an earlier profile you might remember that I had two boys and might wonder how I now have three boys. In 2001 my family adopted a 15 year old boy from Russia. He is a great kid and this whole process has been a fascinating journey, including two trips deep into Russia. There is too much background to post in this bio but I would be glad to share more information if anyone is interested.

here I spent 3 years. In 1991 I transferred to a plant in LaPorte, TX. The plant where I worked for DuPont was sold so I now work for Lyondell. We currently live in Seabrook, which is near the Clear Lake/NASA area of Houston. My wife is a librarian at an elementary school near our home.
Most of my time is now spent raising my boys, but in my spare time my hobbies are listening to and collecting music and high-end audio. I also have a 66 Mustang convertible that is great for fair-weather cruising. I enjoyed music and cars in high school, so not much has really changed.
I've been to some of the high school reunions and really enjoy seeing old friends. Many thanks to those who put in the time and effort to make these happen. I would welcome e-mails from anyone who would like to catch up on old times.
