Allen's Story

Mr. V. at the guidance department at WG suggested that I was not college material. I fulfilled this prophecy and dropped out. After moving to Eastern Pennsylvania, I completed a GED in 1979. I entered into a nursing program in Allentown PA. After completing this program, I moved to Philadelphia PA then Houston TX and returned to the Allentown area in 1989. I received an undergraduate degree in nursing from M...Expand for more
oravian College in 2003, a graduate degree in nursing from LaSalle University in 2009 and doctorate degree in May of 2015, from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Today, I am a nurse practitioner and own and operate two of the largest STD treatment and prevention programs in Pennsylvania. It took me 30 years to realize my potential and achieve my goals. Despite bad advice from a faculty member, I made it!!!
