Allie's Story
After Brackenridge, I attended Trinity University where I majored in Foreign Languages (Spanish, Russian & Italian). I graduated with a BA in Spanish. My minors were Military Science and Speech & Drama. Although I completed my degree requirements and received a Commission in the U.S. Army in December 1973, I graduated with the class of 1974.
Mary E. Gonzales and I were married for 5 years and had a daughter, Lisa A. Richardson, who lives in Mesquite, Texas. I am re-married and my wife, Von and I have a total of 7 children (4 adopted), and 7 grand children.
I served 20 years in the Army Medical Department as a rescue helicopter pilot. My first unit was the 507th Medical Company (Air Ambulance), headquarted in San Antonio, but I was stationed with the 4th Platoon in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma.
I served two tours in Korea; one as a pilot in 1979 and another in Medical Logi...Expand for more
stics in 1984. I spent two short tours in Honduras during Iran/Contra hearings, and have visited every state except Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Wyoming, & Montana. Eleven of my twenty years were spent in Alabama at the Army Aviation Center, Aeromedical Center, and School of Aviation Medicine.
I retired in January 1994 as the Chief of Flight Physiology training for the U.S. Army School of Aviation Medicine.
I briefly owned my own computer consulting company in Alabama before moving to Dallas, where I worked as a Senior Hardware Specialist until connecting with YUM! Brands, Inc. (Parent company of Pizza Hut, KFC, Taco Bell, Long John Silver's and A&W).
I recently retired from YUM as the Trainer and Knowledge Manager for 4 restaurant help desks and the National Helpdesk. I currently live in Louisville, KY and plan to begin a new career in Real Estate. I am also in Facebook.
