After high school I worked for Duke Power briefly then began working at Arthur Murray's Dance Studio teaching ballroom.  In '87 (approx.)  I transferred to Atlanta to teach and was there for about a year.  While there I got married to another instructor and got divorced not long after (really long story!!!).   After our divorce we remained really close friends and continued to work together and transferred to Kansas City along with another teacher in early '89.  I loved K. C. and had some really good times there. I quit teaching ballroom towards the end of '90.  I hated to leave it but it was nearly impossible to live off of what it paid.  I stayed in K.C. and worked at a popular local and tourist bar/steakhouse  for the next 2 yrs.   Made some really good friends there and had lots of fun. (not to mention pretty good money!!)  In late '92 my ex passed away and alot of my friends from work started getting married, quitting and/or moving away.  I guess I started getting homesick so I moved back to NC.  My parents had moved to Salisbury while I was away so that's where I came back to in Nov...Expand for more
