Life * First woman elected by the South Carolina General Assembly to serve on The Citadel Board of Visitors (governing body of the college) effective 7/1/00. Re-elected in 2006, 2012, and 2018. One of the public information and education campaigns she started was directed toward changing driver behavior and compliance with traffic signals.
