Allison's Story

Life Wow...a "life bio" - where has the time gone?!?!? In a nutshell, I went to college, decided to take a break in my sophomore year to "work for one semester" and still haven't gone back. (Hey! Semesters are REALLY long these days!). I "fell" into insurance about 20 years ago (does anybody in their right mind actually CHOOSE to go into insurance???) I'm one of the insane people who actually loves it. It's challenging and exciting...never a dull moment. After making lots of money for other people, I finally got the courage up a couple of years ago to start my own "commercial insurance agency" with a partner. Next to deciding to have children, this was the best decision I've ever made! I love it and we're doing great! In July 2005, I was divorced from my hubby after 10 years of marriage. We have 7 year old twins (boy/girl) who are the absolute LOVES of my life!!! It's absolutely amazing how much joy they bring to my life and how much fun they add to it. Let's see if I'm still saying that when they're 16...EEEK! (kidding, of course...) I've stayed in California for most of my life but did move to Florida (twice) for two DIFFERENT boyfriends (what can I say - I was young and they were cute). :o...Expand for more
) I'm still really active and LOVE the outdoors; back-packing, hiking, running (in fact, I just signed up to run the OC Marathon January 8, 2006 - guess I better get my boo-tay back out there and start RUNNING again, huh?!?!?) And yes, I still talk too much - guess some things never change... Sadly, I haven't kept in touch with but a few friends from high school. I do have very fond memories of lots of people from "El Mo", McPherson and even some of you all the way back to La Veta Elementary! I love my life and I feel so blessed to have what I have (meaning especially, my two incredible, beautiful children). I hope the rest of you are happy too! I'd love to hear from any of you out there, even if just to laugh about "the olden days" (as my kids call it...). It's been almost a quarter of a century since I've talked to most of you (Oh my GOD - is that right?!?!?) Jeez, we're gettin' OLD!!! Guess that explains the wrinkles... Looking forward to seeing many of you at the next reunion!!! I'll be sure to wear my "Ditto's", and my "Candi's" and my "Farrah Fawcett feathered hairdo" along with my blue eye-shadow! Wait...those things are back IN now, aren't they?!?!? Bye for now - be happy and enjoy life!
