Althea's Story
Wow! 20 years later....My Life...
I thought I was so cool back then in school.....Smoking & drinking and hanging out with my friends was all it was about. I loved to ditch school, to go to Lake Mead and jump off the cliffs or swim at Boulder Beach. But winter was all about Lee Canyon Ski Resort! Nothing like snuggling to warm up. Skiing & snow boarding. Wow! All of what I thought was fun had severe consequences, I had to return to school at Valley for an additional semester during 1989, to make up for being expelled for excessive absences!! After summer school and late bird classes. My senior year was all double classes. U.S. History and Government, English 2 and English Literature. Tough classes! Any hows- the best thing since HighSchool is the internet. I love the internet. I like my space and yahoo. My profiles are all named "altheaculater" please connect with me on one or all of them.
Even though school was 20 years ago Dennis and I now have a child going to graduate next year 2009 and one in 2018!!
I would love to hear from any and ALL of you. Please share any moments we may of shared or something that you remember about me, embarrassing as it may be, I would like to hear it.
What I miss most about school is all the friendships that had come and were lost. I often wonder where we all ended up. Do we have kids the same age? Who'd yall marry? What do you do now for fun?
For fun now, I like to cook anything with chicken! Plus go camping to ride four wheelers with Dennis and our kids. We go out to Dumont Dunes, WHeelers Pass, Mt Charleston, Carpenters canyon, Trout canyon or travel south across the border to Baja. We have had great times in Mexico for about 10 years now. Even though we don't speak a lick of spanish, go figure! Totally Gringo's!!
