Alton's Story
Hello Melrose 71, I have been in Memphis every since I left High School. I went to LeMoyne-Owen College, graduated in 1975. Got my Teacher's Certification from Memphis State in 1977; Started teaching at Germantown High School in the same year; Received my Masters Degree from MSU IN 1980; Taught at Germantown until 1981.

ath in 1981. I succeeded him as pastor the same year which is what I have been doing for the last 28 years at the time of this writing (9-7-09).
I have been married for 28 years to the former Sherrilyn Ratliff, and we have 5 children,4 girls and 1 boy, ranging in ages from 24 to 12.
