Alvin Brown:  

Reverend Alvin Brown Senior Pastor, Smith Memorial United Methodist Church Harper¿s Chapel United Methodist Church Reverend Alvin Brown is a native of Beaumont, Texas, where he completed his primary and secondary education. He¿s a graduate of the American Baptist College, Nashville, Tennessee. (B.A. May 1976). He completed his theological education at Candler School of Theology, Emory University. (M.Div. May 1980). He has done D.Min. Studies at United Theological Seminary, Dayton, Ohio. While a student at the American Baptist College he served as pastor of the Alameda Street Christian Church, Nashville, Tennessee. (74-76). He has served in the United States Air Force both as an enlisted member and as a Chaplain officer.
