Alvin's Story

Workplace I started out as a teacher/coach, teaching English and assist coaching a year in Grangeville, and two years in Wyoming, before coming home to fullfill a childhood dream of going into radio. I worked in radio for four years full time, but missed the interaction with kids, so was hired as a juvenile probation officer, where I spent 22 years working for Elmore County. During that time I still did some part-time radio work, mainly sports broadcasting, as well as so...Expand for more
me local sports writing for Mountain Home and Glenns Ferry newspapers. Since I retired from juvenile probation work, I keep myself busy working part-time for KMHI in Mountain Home, doing production, some sales and broadcasting of football, basketball, baseball and softball games. I also write sports for The Mountain Home News, Glenns Ferry Gazette and the El-wyhee Hi-Lites. Going to, and covering sporting events is fun, rewarding, and alwyas seems to have its exccitement.

Congratulations to Coach Rodney and the first annual Tiger Car Push! A great fundraising effort!
After baking cookies, they went outside to make Crystal the Snow Girl.
There for awhile it looked like it was covering it up about as fast as Lainey and I cleared it off!
Another day and more snow. After cleaning sidewalk in the area, we made another snowman. Here's Ellie between Crystal and Buddy.
Look who's here! Love you, Tristan!

Well, it might not have been as successful as far as wins go as we would have hoped, but it was an exciting season with some great memories!
In honor of National Sibling Day, my lovely sisters and me.
Almost missed the colorful sunset tonight.
What's with the haze in this morning's sunrise?
A real "ducky" couple enjoying the sun this morning.
