Amanda's Story
Life
My life since Rincon was bigger and far more wonderful than I could have imagined at age 18. After H>S> onto college in Colorado and then to the midwest. There I met my lover of 25 years, onto more schooling until we had professional degrees that would take us overseas. For 15 of our married years we have been blessed to live in Africa and Southeast Asia. I gave birth to one boy and three girls all in foreign countries. I have taught and learned multiple languages, thanks to my Spanish teacher of Rincon. I have sung in small groups and played guitar and helped make a CD overseas. Doors have been opened to us beyond what I would have hoped. We don't own a house, we own six beds, and a motorcycle. We work in Asia and vacation all over the China Sea. Workplace
My earliest job from Bess Wing(mike wing's mom) was to teach at the YMCA in Tucson. At the university of Colorado, I bused tables and was a coat clerk. At Indiana Univ. I worked as a bouncer, at Shipweck Jimmy's Bar.Ha! Silver Dollar City was in there for a summer with Barb Talmadge. The to Indy, accting, teaching in the inner city, and off to Africa. I taught at a bush high school and learned about the Cambridge system. Then onto the international school system in Cambodia andto Vietnam. I have taught Engl, and now counsel youth at Unis International School and counsel at SOS international clinic...at 45Yrs...I think I have found what I wanted to be!!!!!!!don't give up counselors of those youthful ones in your office..it's a fun journey.
