Amanda's Story
For the last 3 years, have been living the island life on St. Croix after (let's work backwards here for a moment) doing time working and cruising on boats from Cape Cod to Venezuela; Miami (ay, papi!); Virginia (please, don't even ask); LA (Venice Beach mostly, dude!); Newport Beach (CA); San Francisco; Boston (for college) and of course, Colts Neck (where I still visit my mom and twin nephews).
Yeah, after working in film and music and mega-yacht chartering, running several small business and having one or two of my own, I took a left turn in life around 1999 and never (well, once in a blue moon) looked back. I'm kind of the self-sufficient, entrepreneurial type who likes to make her own schedule (which includes alot of beach time and rum with friends) and travel at will. Not getting rich (yet - in the financial sense anyway) but have more than I need....

ved on a 27' sailboat for a couple of years. Mostly did it for his green card and because I was a few months short of 40 and figured what the hell.
Almost missed my own wedding as I was stuck on a yacht in the Turks and Caicos due to a storm. got married barefoot on yet another boat and threw the barefoot half-naked (and pretty baked!) reception in our old back yard on the Miami River (catered, of course, by a Welsh yacht chef friend (mine) and a private Italian chef friend(his). And yes, we are still together (8 years and counting....DESPITE his having received his permanent residency, so there!)
No kids, thanks very much (he is enough work) and no plans for them. I prefer to simply borrow them on an as-needed basis, although I have discovered that I am a real or "adopted" aunt or godmother to over a dozen of them.
Next life, however, I plan to come back as a lesbian with high-profile C's and a trust fund. You got a better plan?
