Here's the thing- I guess when I was younger I spent a lot of time trying to "find myself." Of course, no one can possibly do that until they've moved out of their parents' houses, grown up, and created something worth finding. So, here's the story: As a kid, my parents were broke. I didn't realize it. I thought 'preps' were rich kids. Now I know that 'preps' were really the children of middle class working men and women. I know now that my parents were absolutely working class, but by no means middle class. I envied the kids who were, plain and simple. My dad died of a heart attack when I was 24. Even then, I made more money than he did. I don't know, I guess the point of my rambling is that kids really don't know jack about money, or class, or work.
