Amber's Story
Life
Got married 1993 and moved to Sweden, my husband is Swedish. He and I got to know each other in the mid 80's as penpals. We met in 1991 and the sparks flew. So after 2 yrs of traveling back and forth we got married and I made the move to Sweden. I went to nursing school here and worked as an LVN a while, then changed braches again. Am now a Network Operations Technician for a company in Stockholm. Loving life. No kids, just gerbils (yes gerbils). I am on the board for the Swedish Gerbil Society and the Swedish Mouse Society and a judge in the gerbil club. My gerbils are International ...Expand for more
Champions....competing all over Europe. Should have studied german instead of spanish as we have so many german speaking turists, but who knew. Oh well, I'm fluent in swedish now, almost have a hard time with english sometimes, getting a little rusty. It's wonderful living in Sweden, no we don't have polar bears roaming the streets, but it does get cold in winter (-25 C this xmas, brrrr). A lot different from C.P. The people are great here and we don't have the violence that we lived with in Calif. Couldn't make the 10 yr reunion, but maybe the 20....
