Berishia's Story
Life
As many of you know I got married shortly out of high school and had two daughter's, one of which was killed in a car accident in 1978. I am, currently,the single mother of two children. The oldest a girl graguated from Stephen's College in Columbia, MO in 2001. The youngest, my son, is currently enrolled at Metropolitan State University working on a degree in criminal justice after having completed his software development degree at Brown College in 2005. I live in a townhouse in Minneapolis,MN. I am a human service case worker working for African American Family Services, after having been put off on disability from my job as a paramedic on the ambulance here. years now and was a paramedic for 25 years. I injured my shoulder in the winter of 2004 and was placed on permanent disability in September, 2005. I am currently going to school about to finish off two bachelor's degrees and then will probably apply to complete my Master's and PhD in Forensic Phychology, now that I have permanent lifting restrictions. Other than that just getting old,fat and cranky just like the rest of you are I'm sure. Still no grandkids but that's fine with me. Although I do have one granddog who lives with my daughter who moved back to Arkansas a couple of years ago, after being chased out of Miami by all the hurricanes. Looking forward to seeing everybody this weekend.
