More about Ami:"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder..... 01/21/2011 update officially no longer with the worldest largest company due to health issues worsened and more hospital time. Had a quiet holiday all alone while family all down in Texas. Divorce finalizes next month praise GOD. Sick of snow it is no longer pretty or cute, lol. 12/02/2010 well ladies and gents new job as customer service manager still going well (but wearing me out in a good sense) It is very challenging and provides a constantly chaging evniroment. The diet from HELL is kicking my butt, but down 48lbs since July so I am a happier camper.I have been battling with some new additional health issues lately that are taking a toll on me but I am trying to take it one day at a time and hope for the best. I am still focusing on trying to make myself a better person and my quality of life better in general.I am also learning when the chips are down you really do find out who your true friends are. 9/2010 Newest update I am now separated and getting a divorce after my relationship of 3 years(sadly married over a year). I think I am taking a break from relationships they seem to be not worth the heart ache. Back to being single and enjoying life again. This divorce diet is great down 39 lbs, lol.Word of caution to all ladies when the guy seems to good to be true he usually is. 6/2010Well I have taken some time off of here for the last few months due some bad health. 4 months ago I suffered a stroke and had brain surgery to correct a condition called idiopat...Expand for more
hic intracranial hypertension. The surgery provided a shunt that is attached to my skull and drilled through it to area of the brain to drain off excess spinal fluid(that is what cushions your brain) via a tube that was for all account ripped down through from my head via my neck and torso to my abdomen where it will drain. My body had the problem of not regulating that fluid and it would build up and not drain essentially crushing the brain and optic nerves. Those of you who have kept up with me though years have known I battled this rare disease for years in addition to blinding migraines. Medicine brought no relief. Spinal taps to drain off excess fluid was a band aid. This procedure was supposed to be the fix. What they didn't share was that half my head would be shaved (razor shaved) and the device would feel like a key-less entry pad under skin about 2 " back from forehead. So what can I say....I had to pull a Britany and shave all my hair because naturally curly hair to the waist on one side and razor shaved on the other split right down the middle looked really really BAD! So alas my locks are gone. I have short hair now. Its finally grown out enough to hide the biggest of the 2 scars on head. A new belly scar 3" long to add to my war wounds as I refer to them is a reminder. Since this has happened I have had to have it adjusted 4 times and we still don't have the setting of amount of fluid draining right. It has changed my whole life, in every aspect. I would wish this on no one. I can only hope it gets better or that my neurosurgeon comes up with a better solution the alternative was left untreated blindness and more strokes eventually death. Not what most 35 year old have to face I know. I will post some new pics soon, be nice I look like hell, but am thankful to be around.".
