Amy's Story
Well let me see- after high school I moved to Lakewood, WA and went to Pierce College where I was majoring in music. I wound up meeting my husband and left school to marry him and we immediately moved to San Antonio, TX (1993) , then Ft. Polk, LA (1993-1996), then Ft. Gordon (Augusta, GA) (1996-2003) then Ft. Lewis, WA (2003-2006). I finally finished my BA is Psychology at St. Martin's University in Lacey, WA. Then we moved back to Ft. Gordon in 2006! The first time we were stationed to Ft. Gordon, I started riding horseback competitively (dressage & hunter jumper). My poor mare has moved from GA to WA and back again! band was in Iraq. While I was mourning the loss of the greatest dog in the world, I decided to get another Rottweiler puppy (Ike) and have been actively training and socializing him since he was 8 weeks old. We compete in Obedience, Rally Obedience, Agility, Carting, Herding.... (hopefully Schutzhund soon) and he is also a Registered Therapy Dog. We work together in the local hospitals, Children's Hospital, and VA and enjoy it very much!
We don't have any children, but we do have 2 dogs, a parrot and a Morgan horse. I'm currently debating going back to grad school.....
I really look forward to hearing from my classmates and learning any info about the reunion next year!
