Amy's Story

I'm loving and living each day to my fullest! I'm a cancer survivor, I'm living with late onset Type 1 Diabetes, and I'm happily married to the love of my life, Ryan Cournoyer, and raising and rearing my two prides of joy, Casey and Sascha! Here's my story in a nut shell; I graduated from the University of MN in 2000, with a degree in Speech and Hearing Science. I remained working in Minneapolis for 13 years, as a sales consultant for a variety of banks. I also spent 2 years working in Chicago. After 2008, I changed gears and worked towards going back to graduate school. Those plans were put on hold because I was diagnosed with 9 tumors of Stage 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer. I am now celebrating 5 year...Expand for more
s of remission!!! During my breast cancer journey, my path crossed with Ryan Cournoyer. Disregard of my condition, Ryan still wanted to hang out. So we did, and quickly fell in love. I completed my journey with him and moved to Milwaukee to start over there. We were soon engaged and married in 2012. We now have 2 children. Our son, Casey, is 21/2 years old. Our daughter, Sascha, was born 11 months after Casey, and she' now 1 1/2 years old. I started a flower business, called Bravo Floral, as a way to have my own company while I stay at home working with my 2 kids. I never thought I'd have cancer. I never thought I'd marry someone from high school. Never say never, and cease the day! Carpe Diem
