More about Amy:"Wilmington, NC West Springfield High School Longwood University Intracoastal Realty Happily me, Happily married, Happily mom. That covers a lot. Married for 14 years this next October 18th,2011. Mother of a lovely 8 year old daughter who loves golf.I still act & dance (Just started again after a long break). Born in Evanston, Illinois. Moved to Indiana when we were young. In 1980 moved to Northern VA. Spent 6th grade through Senior year in Burke and Springfield. WSHS was quite an experience. That is where I found my love for theatre, music and friends. Went to Longwood+ graduated w/Theatre Degree + more friends. Moved to Muskegon, MI to be with family/friends. I met my husband Mark there while we were both working at a radio station. 6 months after we married we decided we were too cold and moved to Wilmington, NC so Mark could do radio (he is program director and on-air for Sunny 104.5) and I could do work at the movie studios here ( and do some theatre). I am a member of The Screen Actors Guild and the Screen Gems Studios was based here. After teaching theatre to elementary school students... I proceeded to get the ...Expand for more
full time gig of being Katie Holmes Stand-In on "Dawson's Creek" for the last 4 and half seasons of the show. I was pregnant with Gracie the last season and worked up until the last week of filming. When Grace was 4 months old I went back to work on the new show "One Tree Hill" as a stand-in. Then the producers asked if Grace could be "Baby Jenny" on the show the first season. She made it into more episodes than I did. After that I worked on NBC's "Surface" for it's one and only season. I also had worked on films that came to the area like "...Yaya Sisterhood" and "Summer Catch". When Canada started to steal our filming away I decided it would be a great time to get my real estate license. Passed the State exam on the first try! I am a member of National Assoc. Of REALTORS and Wilmington Regional Assoc. of REALTORS. My first year out I was awarded the "Rising Star" award and recognized for 2.6 million in production. I was in the top 5% of REALTORS in New Hanover County for closed sales in 2009. I also serve on The Affordable Housing Committee and recently graduated from the WRAR Leadership Academy.I have been elected to the WRAR Board of Directors recently. No it was not the best time to start in Real Estate..but I made the best of it and I will be ready when it comes back. I have more closings set this year. Wiith the success of my business it has allowed me to do more theatre again because I missed it a lot. Just got a new agent and hope to get back into TV/Film/Commercials again and I want to do more for others like donating my time where it is needed. I love living 10 minutes from the Ocean in this amazing place we call Wilmington, NC. You can't beat the fresh seafood, the salt air, the Cape Fear River and the 200 blocks of Historical District. Our family loves it here. Gracie is thriving as a third grader and has taken up golf. She is playing in tournaments with Jr. High kids. Go figure. It is hard to summarize my life to this point...but this is a good start. Hope to hear from old friends and new friends alike. Good Times:)".
