Life
07-14-05 It's been a long time. I've been escaping Indiana since graduation yet I find myself near our capitol even so. At 18 I moved to the big city (NYC) and ended up crying my eyes out on a fast train home just 3 weeks later. I thought I could be a "midwestern" nanny with room and board by day and become a broadway star by night. Oh, if only I had gone to college:) I learned that other people have disfunctional familys too and that in NYC, noone is special. Oh well. I went on to have many adventures in the school of life that included stops in Cleveland,OH, Detroit and Southfield, MI. and a prolonged stay in Key West, Fl. where I finally found my spirit and soul. I also brought back from Florida a little man to teach me about the reality of unconditional love. His name is Jonah Mckenzie Jojo-Hughes and he is 5 years old now. I adore him as he does me and I can't remember how I pictured my future before him.

shawaka, SouthBend, and Key West and have done more arts benefits than I can remember. And, although I feel somewhat lost without an audiance to make laugh or cry, I cannot find the time to give a show my full attention with bedtimes and baths to attend to. Jonah's dad lives in New Jersey now and we are good friends. He is the only grandchild on dads side so we do a lot of traveling to the Carolinas where both sets of paternals live. We are saving money (but still having fun) and plan to relocate to Charleston, SC sometime next summer where I plan to continue my affair with the southern coast. I have overcome a lot and returned a much softer person. Life happens and I am glad for it.
10-20-05 Typical of a Gemini, I have decided to return to good ol' Mishawaka and see what it's like when you are the adult living there. I have aquired a new fear of Hurricanes and a reoccuring desire to see my mom :) Plus...I miss my friends. Look me up if you're in the mood to laugh at yourself; I often times am.
