Amy's Story
Life
After graduating from Ball State, I married Gerald Overshiner (also attended BSU). We moved to southern California and lived there for about 6 y rs. After working in the school system, I didn't want to raise a family there. Moved back to Indiana. I now have a 9 yr old daughter, Haleigh and a 5 year old son, Harrison. They are my strength and keep me extremely busy. I have been divorced now nearly 4 years and am dating Robert Rhoads (Northeastern grad '85). We are talking of marriage, but there's no date set yet. We just got married Oct.18, 2008 in our new home. It was quite intimate. Great time!!
College

th Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Children are our future. And I'm glad to have a part in that.
Workplace
After college I worked 2 jobs at the same time for several years. I worked at Mervyn's Dept. Store and also at Moreno Valley Unified School District as an Instructional Asst. and then a long-term Substitute teacher until we moved back to Indiana. I continued to Sub. until moving to Indy where I taught Kindergarten at KinderCare. I have been the Center Director now for 2 years at the center in Carmel/Westfield area. My children attend there. (Haleigh comes there after school at Carmel Elementary). I wouldn't trade this for the world at this stage of my life. Being close to my children is very important to me.
