Amy's Story
Life
Ok, here's my life since high school in a nutshell. I graduated from Delta College in '87 with a certification in Biological Electron Microscopy. I moved to L.A. and started work as a research scientist. A year later, I married Tim "Tim Allen" Pattison. Some of you may remember him since he was a DJ in Stockton. We lived in Glendale for a while and I graduated with my A.A. from Glendale Community College in '89. Tim and I worked together at USC Med School and had a son, Matthew, in '91. In '93, we lost both of the research grants we were on, so we moved to Colorado. After happily divorcing in '96, I got on with my life and went back to school at CU Boulder. I remarried in 2000, had another son, Kaden, in 2001 and finally graduated with my Bachelor's degree in 2004. Shortly afer receiving my degree, I began working as a Quality Control Analyst at a biotech...Expand for more
company.
My oldest son, Matt, looks a lot like me and is a Junior in high school. My little one is six now and loves to read and talk as much as his daddy. My husband, Chad, Matt, and I have been taking Taekwondo for about 3 years now and are one test shy of becoming black belts. I also hike and rock climb when I have a chance.
My mom, my brother, and a couple good friends of mine still live in Stockton, so I do return every now and then to visit.
Workplace
I work for a start-up biotech company called GlobeImmune. We're developing vaccines for various types of cancer. I've been working as a Quality Control Analyst since 2004. As a Quality Control Analyst, I test our product to make sure it's safe for human use. Recently, I started my own development as a Quality Auditor, and hope to create a Quality Auditing position for myself with the same company.
