Amy's Story

After graduation I moved to the east side of Milwaukee off Farwell & Warren for about a year. I quickly discovered that I really didn't belong in WI anymore. My brother was going to school in Southern California and needed a roommate so I moved out to California in October 1981. I met my future husband for the 3rd time (a long very romantic and God inspired destiny for us) on December 9th 1983. We had a whirlwind courtship and were married March 3, 1984. We are about to celebrate our 25th Anniversary and he is my best friend. In May of 1987 we had our first and only child. A girl and the love of our life. She is unique, creative, talented, beautiful, and smart. All the things I never was at her age and more. She hopes to act or sing and eventually work behind the scenes as a director and is going to school to pursue that dream. Louie and I spend most of our time serving our Lord through our local church and within our community. We LOVE live music and go to concerts and events as much as possible. ** I was just looking at the story ideas and they are very funny. So let's answer some of them.... 1) What about me would surprise everyone? That I have asked for and given forgiveness to all those I hurt and who hurt me. 2) Which teacher would you love to see again and why? I felt like the breakfast club answering this. I think our Vice Principle who once told me I would amount to nothing because I didn't care about school. funny how those words don't hurt as much when I am looking out my corner office window. 3) What's the wildest thing you ever did in school? Geez, nothing compared to the things I heard everyone did from our last reunion! 4) My first crush, I have...Expand for more
no idea, he ended up dating my then best friend for years. He broke both our hearts and now who knows. 5) How do you hope old friends remember you? I wasn't a great friend in high school. It took a lot of years to figure out how to be a REAL friend, I was too busy trying to fit in where I clearly didn't belong. I guess I would want them to remember I was only human and cared for them the best way I knew how. 6) To be truly happy, you would be where, doing what, with whom? That's an easy one. Here, doing anything, with my best friend Louie, and the rest of my family and friends. 7) Life doesn't always turn out the way you expect. What's been your biggest surprise? That a kid from the cheap seat houses in the wealthiest city 1/2 way across the country with nothing more then a high school education, and two boxes filled with mostly records could head to California, fall in love and spend the next 25 years, raising a family, have an amazing career, having salvation no one can take from me and enjoying every aspect of my life the up's down's and everything in between. 8) You get one do-over. What do you do differently? In High school my only do-over would be to make sure that Kathy understood I didn't stab her in the back. She miss-understood it all. In life, I have nothing I would do differently because it made me who I am today. 9) What's the weirdest job you ever had? One of my first jobs in California was at a Honey Baked Hams making sandwichs for a crazy old lady who owned the place. I would have to sit with her at the beginning of every shift and listen to her ramble. 10) Where have you lived? Why did you move? I already answered that above.... :) The End!
