Bernadine's Story
Life
I'm finally settling into life as a spring chicken (smile). Single, with 3 grown children, I couldn't be happier that I don't have any grandchildren as some of my friends do. Maybe that may sound selfish, but I deserve to be free at this point in my life. I have two daughters ages 28,22, and a son who will be 20 in December. My son lives with his dad and my daughters will be moving out really soon. Hooray!
I'm a Christian, loving God and his grand plan for my life.
My immediate family live in the San Jose/Santa Clara area so I still visit once to twice a year. It's a joy to see my mom, siblings, and a host of neices and nephews. Family and friends are an important part of my life.

rb north of Los Angeles. I graduated with a BA degree in Pan-African Studies. In 1997, I went back to school to work on obtaining a teaching credential in Social Studies. Well now I have two credentials, one in Social Studies and the other one in Special Education. Presently, I need 2 classes to complete my master's degree. But right now I'm taking a break. One day I'll go back to finish.
Workplace
Before I graduated from CSUN, I began working in the banking industry for 11 years. After several business ventures, I wasn't happy. So I found my pleasure working with young people, especially at risk teens. For 13 years, I have been teaching and am the advisor for the Hip Hop Dance Club.
Who would have guessed? Me working with teenagers! Now that's pretty funny!
