Then: Hi there, in the mid 70's, I was a very shy athlete.I earned 7 Presidential Awards. In a group of 3 friends, we often went to the foot of Grand Avenue by the main lifeguard tower. We earned our suntans, coated in baby oil while checking out the cute guys on the PB boardwalk. On the weekends, Paula Stein, Mary C. and I went downtown to the old El Cortez Grand Ballroom. We'd dance all night long. It was so much fun! Still love dancing. We met our first boyfriends. When I turned 16 and started driving I went to Marine Street and tried some body surfing.
