Andre's Story
Life
Married with one son (Noah) and a baby girl on her way. Spent almost 7 years in Germany, where I met my wife Kerstin and things have been falling into place every since then.
Workplace
I am currently a Staff Sergeant and my next goal is to become a Warrant Officer. For the most part, I am ahead of the typical career arc, but most importantly, I've had two jobs in the military that are extremely technical in nature and have provided an amazing amount of training.
Military
Enlisted in the United States Army in Aug 99 and have been going strong every since. I originally joined for the college money (what else) but soon realized...Expand for more
that this is what I am supposed to be doing. Attended Basic at Fort Jackson, SC then AIT in Huntsville, AL where I trained to become a Missle System Technician. Next assignment was to Kitzingen, Germany...spent close to seven wonderful years there traveling Europe and soaking up the culture. Deployed to Tikrit, Iraq from Germany in support of OIF2 and spent twelve months there providing escort security. Finally returned to the states in May of 2006 to become a IT Administrator. Spent close to five months at Ft. Gordon, GA training for this job. And finally...received assignment orders to FT Campbell, KY where I am currently stationed.
