Andrea's Story
Now live in St. Louis after residing on a farm in IL for several years with my guy Ron Denoon class of 1960, who passed away 2-19-2019. We went to his RHS 50 yr class reunion in 2010 and met many friends we both remembered. Dennis Doetzel my high school sweetheart passed away in 2009. We had been married almost 45 yrs. My two children are fine and live in Jefferson county. I currently roller skate at a local rink where my kids grew up also I swing dance in a few local St. louis area clubs and enjoy it. My mother was a dancer from a young age and my sis and brother also danced a lot as she was our Sat morning dance teacher in a St. Louis studio ( mandatory for us) The pic I posted is not a recent one as I goofed in posting it. it is from when I danced at the restaurants in St. Louis when I was about 40. e eastern danced for 17 yrs at several restaurants and festivals and VP fair with a Dance Company in St. Louis. Then I went back to Roller skating in 1992 and competed in Roller dance with a partner in an adult division and we won in the North Central region several years. I retired from that in 2006. I write poetry and short stories and published a book in 2013. Life is good for me as I live in an area with many stores and medical offices and a hospital. I still venture in archaeology when I can and volunteered at Cahokia Mounds for about 17 yrs, but have not been there for many years. I have several pen pals who still live in Illinois and we just write or call because of the COVID 19 pandemic which has changed our world. I hope everyone has pleasant memories of high school and the years we grew up like I do.
