Andrea's Story
Life
No one can write their life bio in such a short amount of words. I graduated from high school, went to Cal State Long Beach, majored in journalism and political science, became a journalist for 12 years (OC Register and LA Times), found I hated the stress of daily journalism, went back to school, and became a junior high history teacher. Along the way, I fell in love (several times), visited 43 countries and 45 states, went back to school to get my master's degree, became Teacher of the Year for the Fullerton School District. was a wreck, my parents died, my aunt died and everyone but my immediate brother and sister has passed away. Bruce is still living in the house we grew up in Anaheim, Lynn has been in Alaska for 19 years and I'm now living in Corona. About 10 years ago, we met my father's children from a previous marriage which was wonderful, but since then, my half-sister died of cancer. I still talk to my Florida brother once a month or so. I've gone through rocky times (like all of us) and great times (like all of us) and at this point, I'm happy in my career (17 years at the same school and I still enjoy going to work every morning), and I'm happy at home. I have a good life.
