Andrea's Story
Life
After graduating from Ward Melville in 1983, I went to the University of Connecticut from 1983-1987 and graduated with a B.S. in Finance and minor in Economics. From there moved to Washington DC in 1987 worked as an internal auditor for a S&L (Perpetual Savings Bank) for 4 years while I got my MBA in Finance & Investments from George Washington University in 1991. I went to work for a commercial bank (Riggs National Bank, sold in 2004 to PNC Bank) as a Private Banking Trust Investment Officer while I completed the chartered financial analysts program, obtaining my CFA designation in 1996.

, Switzerland (my husband is Swiss), then started a new job as the Manager of Banking and Investor Relations at a company I worked at for 12 years, National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corp (CFC), located in Herndon, VA. Over the 12 years at CFC I worked as a credit and treasury financial analyst, and then as an Associate Vice President of Credit Risk Management for the last 3 years. In mid-2008, I began working for Fannie Mae (DC ) as a manager and senior risk advisor in the counterparty risk management division.
In September 2003 we had a daughter, Alexandra Isabella, in September 2003 and are currently living in Alexandria Va, about 5 miles outside of Washington DC.
