Andrea's Story
Andrea is from Boston, Massachusetts. Andrea iso married. Andrea's schools include Girls' Latin School. Andrea later attended New England Baptist Hospital School of Nursing (Nursing). Andrea worked at Brigham and Women's Hospital for 10 years as an administrative assistant for a cardiac surgeon.
Andrea's likes include: reigious activities, reading, esp. 19th century novels, foreign languages- French (speak & read), I can read most Romance languages (if I set my mind to it!☺), I can understand enough of 4-6 languages to know when I'm being cussed out. I love Asian languages (Chinese, Japanese and Korean ) and customs. I do puzzles, especially crossword puzzles. Thanks to a substitute teacher, I'm interested in trivia; a few years ago, I participated in a "Jeopardy!" tournament for charity and was good enough to play in an actual round! I am presently living in a nursing home along with my husband of almost 44 years. He is suffering from dementia due to brain damage from a heart attack 7 years ago and is in hospice. I met him 44 years ago when my roommate said, "Andi, you'll get a kick out of this guy, he speaks French." Boy, did he ever! He also learned to speak Farsi (Persian), which he still remembers at times and Mandarin Chinese, which he has forgotten, unfortunately. He still remembers our daughter, who just turned 40, and me and some of my family. Our daughter works in the Provost's office at MIT, coordinating housing for faculty members. She married her childhood sweetheart 5 years ago, no grandchildren yet.
I was happy to receive The Jabberwock for Alumnae in May; my daughter and I found a relative of a dear neighbor in that issue on class presidents; she was going to do furthur research and connect.
