Andrea's Story
Hi, a little note so you may know about me since high school..yes Daryl Skorepa our classmate and senior treasurer and I married and still are going 42 years later, no kids but lots of love and adventures. Joined VISTA and spent a year organizing migrants in south Texas. I taught in elementary schools for ten years, began a Union,did collective bargaining, was fired fought to make them take us back won and then resigned the following year to become Executive director of small non-profit Casa Familiar which I have done since 1980. e in need, offering over 40 programs or projects. We need volunteers or donations if any one out there is interested.
Politically made a couple runs for council both unsuccessful,thank goodness! Served as a Planning Commissioner, chaired Police Community Relations Board and several other boards and commissions. I have just received Mexico's highest award given to anyone from the exterior the Othli Award, i am proud and hmblef by the experience.. I am also preparing to retire sometime in the next three years. That's it the highlights... I am most proud of the friends I've made & kept....Andrea
