Andrea's Story
well let's see.....I graduated 5th out of 450 in 1978, had a paid state scholarship to college, but didn't go. I was "in the band". My senior year I toured Europe with other students from the United States. I managed to get 2nd chair flute....next to my close friend, Cathy Scott, who beat me, and got 1st chair. Yeah, I thought I was pretty smart, graduated with 64 of the required 32 credits, went on to IVY Tech to become a Medical Assistant (top of my class)....
Just wait.....let me finish saying the good stuff before the bottom falls out.....
I bought my first house when I was 22 and my first car was a 71 blue camero Z28 3 speed. Later I would have had 3 brand new cars, a 72 Monte Carlo, a Thunderbird.....yea...I loved my cars. I have owned 2 homes, rented many places, and have 2 wonderful children..My son is 21 and daughter is 16. I waited quite a while before I thought I would settle down. I was engaged 3 times, never married...because "forever" was too long with just one person.
Now what in the world could have happened???? I see all my classmates, very successful, and I ended up in Jail, after jail. You see, the demon ALCOHOL took over my life and I lost everything. I now have 3 felonies, no license (at least for another 2 years out of 10). I would give anything to go back and do it different.

reenfield and struggle to find a job. Yes ,I have 25 years worth of medical experience, but with a felony, no one will give me a second chance. I have been sober for 5 years now, trying to put the pieces back together. My children's father died from drinking 3 years ago this May. So that is my story...a pathetic one. But back in the day I had it all....the houses, cars, clothes, freedom. All my girlfriends wanted to be me. I thank God every day I didn't kill someone while driving drunk, or kill myself. I've lost many friends along the way, and I make amends to them all. Don't take life for granted. I told my kids I got "them" a Mother's Day present this year. "What they asked?" I said a $100,000 life insurance policy on myself. No one will ever say that I didn't provide for my children. It won't take back my mistakes, and my time away from them when I was in jail, but It will be there future. Please if there is anyone out there looking to hire a hard-working, very grateful, dependable person....maybe you could think of me. My resume' is immaculate, my administrative skills are up to par, and I would especially love to get back into the medical field where I started. ........Life is what it is and I know that God does have a plan for me. I just hope it comes soon so I can share time with my children.
God Bless
