Andrea's Story
Life
Andrea (Welborn) Fondren:
I currently live in Northport, AL with my husband Jay, my daughter Ashton (11) and my step-son Cody (15). I have been living and working in Tuscaloosa since 1994. I am a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist at Bryce Hospital. My mother Barbara is living in Tuscaloosa as well. We are very active in our church and of course Ashton's sports. Oh, can't forget about the newest addition to the family Sampson, our 6 lbs pomeranian.
School
After graduating at West, I attended JCJC where I was a member of the Maroon Typhoon Marching Band Dance Line ( Touch of Gold)and the Bobcat Tennis Team, gradauted in 1991 with and Associates of Artsand then on to USM where I was a member of the Pride of Mississippi Marching Band Dance Line- the Dixie Darlings and recieved my bachelor's degree in recreational therapy in 1994.

Even though I live in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I am still a die hard Southern Miss fan. Me, my mom and my daughter buy season tickets to football and come home alot during the fall for the games. We usually come down in time to tailgate with friends and spend time on campus. We have a GREAT TIME!!!!! Come and join us at our tent any time.
Workplace
I currently work at Bryce Hospital which is a state run Mental Facility. I have worked there for 13 years. I mostly work with one male ward. We have 6 wards total in our building, 4 male and 2 female. I do alot of paperwork on these guys on my ward and I also teach an exercise program for our Obese patients. It is definitely not the same job day after day. It can be "crazy" (pardon the pun)at times but it is alright.
Military
As for myself, I did not go into the military but my husband served in the Navy from 1987-1994.
