Life
I entered Fork Union Military Academy in 1959. After graduation from FUMA in 1965, I tried college a couple of times but decided I was not ready. I went to work as an engine mechanic in Richmond for several years and then went to work for my father in the building business. at the Holocaust Museum, and historian at the U.S. House of Representatives. I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to write several childrenâs books as well as do several publications for the House and Congress.
My wife and I have two children. In the mid-1980s we enjoyed living in Germany for two years as part of my wifeâs service with the U.S. government. I am now retired and have four grandchildren. I have volunteered since 2007 to teach bagpipe music to members of the band at FUMA.
