Andy's Story
Well I join the Army some and became a very good Airborne Ranger Master Sergant and was also in the Special Forces seen the world literately 7 times, I have been some places where most people could not imagine. I was wounded several times recieved a Silver and Bronze Star and a couple of Purple Hearts. I was last wounded by a sniper where I was shot in the head and my family was told I would never recover, however after 9 months in a coma, 7 years in a hospital if you met me on the street you would not be able to tell unless I told you or some one who knows me would tell you. Yes I still have my Blue eyes and the Doctors said that if it was not for the great shape I was in, I would have died. I look like Arnold but better and bigger. I still have the frame however I don't have the muscles anymore like I would like to have. I went from 230lbs waking up at 53 lbs and was told I never would walk again, however you never Tell an Airborne Ranger what he cannot do, because he will keep trying and succeed if it kills him. I have to give thanks to the footbal...Expand for more
l coaches at Belmont for the mental strength they gave me to make it through Ranger School. For those of you who have seen Blackhawk down well they sugar coated the movie a lot, I should know I was there. Even though all this has happen I would not change a thing, except get married to the girl I met after High School who sorry to say this guys went to Marshall High. God Bless and thanks for listening. Sincerely, Respectfully,
Andre aka Andy Prado
I would have been the youngest Command Sargent Major at Ft. Bragg If I had not been shot I was on the fast track for promotions. Yes I was with the U.S. Army Airborne Rangers and a sniper shot me in the head, which is why I miss our last class reunion, however I am doing fine you would never be able to tell that I spent 7yrs in a hospital and 13 months in a coma. If you were to bump into me on the streets you would never even think of that, I just lost my sense of smell and some eyesight in my right eye but you still can't tell. If anyone is interested in finding out more please write back.
