Angela's Story

Life I never thought my life would end up as crazy and as hectic as it has but I love my family more than life itself and I am always here for them. My children and I have an awesome relationship and I love being their mother and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't thank God for them. I have a 20 year old son and two daughters, 18 and 11. They are my heart, soul, and inspiration. My husband, Mac, passed away on February 1, 2008. I miss him terribly and I have learned to take one day at a time. I work full time as a police dispatcher. I love my job but as with any job there are days when you just wish everyone could get along. I have changed alot since high school. I'm not the quiet shy person that I once was. I don't let life just pass me by any more. I count every day as a blessing and I take one day at a time because you never know what the future will hold. I have been through a lot in my life and I would have to thank God for making me the strong person that I am today. I believe that you have to be thankful for what you have and pray for what you need. Never take anything or anyone for granted because you never know what you have until its gone. I had been with my husband, Mac, for 22 years. We have had plenty of ups and downs but for some reason he remained a constant in my life. Most of the time he was the only person that knows what I need before I even have to ask. My life has turned out okay. Of course it's not what I dreamed of but sometimes you have to trust God for what's best and leave everything in his hands. School I would like to thank my first grade teacher Mrs. Marissa Womack. She was my first inspiration and a reason to look forward to going to school everyday. I would like to thank Ms...Expand for more
. Debbie Igo, who is now Mrs. Debbie Galloway, for being the awesome teacher that she always was and for being an inspiration to me. She taught me that you don't have to just go with the flow but you can always be anything you set your mind to. I quit school three months before I had left to finish but I got my G.E.D. If I could go back and change this part of my life I would but everything happens for a reason and there is no use in dwelling on the past. I went to Capps College and I graduated as a Medical Assistant. If anyone knows where Mrs Debbie Igo Galloway is please email me. I also have a myspace page. You can look me up as Angela Funk. There are photos and alot more on there. Please feel free to contact me. I would love to hear from you. College I went to Capps College in 1990 and graduated in 1991 with a degree in Medical Assistant. I met plenty of great people while going there but there is always one special friend that I would love to see again. We have lost contact over the years and it has been about 10 years since I have talked to her. If anyone knows where Pattie Norsworthy is or knows how to contact her please let me know. Thanks. Workplace I believe my first job was babysitting. I have been doing that on and off my whole life. I am always amazed at how old I feel when I see the kids that I used to babysit. Now, most of them have children of their own. I work full time, and then some, as a Public Safety Dispatcher for the Bayou La Batre Police Department. I must say that this job has very few dull moments. I have worked as a model, hostess, sales clerk, cake decorator, cashier, assembler, waitress, Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist, inventory clerk, and I have helped close down department stores.
