Angela's Story
Life
November 30, 2007
I am still teaching at Theodore High School. I teach 9th grade Honors English and Yearbook. Teaching has brought a lot of joy to my life and I look forward to going to school everyday.
Leslee just spent Thanksgiving in Chicago. She marched in the Chicago Thanksgiving Day Parade with the other Azalea Trail Maids. She has just completed her application for Belmont University in Nashville and is eagerly waiting for her acceptance letter.
Amanda is still attending USA and is working at Best Buy in Mobile. She stays so busy, we hardly see her. She has matured into a beautiful young woman and I'm proud of both of my girls.
Richard...poor Richard. He is still working in Louisiana 7 on and 7 off. With Leslee finishing High School and getting ready to go away to college, and Amanda in college, he is still working two jobs. His week he is home, he works at Fisherman's Marine in Bayou La Batre. We are both looking forward to the day when one job for him will be enough.
In March, we will be traveling to Disney World. Leslee will be marching in the Easte...Expand for more
r Parade there and so we are taking advantage of the trip in order to spend som quality fun family time.
In September, we bought a house in Barnes Crossing in Theodore. I really like the neighborhood and I enjoy being five minutes from work. Also, the interstate is just around the corner, so we are closer to everything.
As I look back on my life, I can see where things have not been easy for Richard and me. In 14 mor days we will celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary and yet we have just bought our first home. Some people think the past 22 years have been a waste for us, but for me, it has been perfect. We sacrificed many materialistic items in order for me to be a stay-at-home mom. I cherish the memories I have of seeing our girls grow up and being able to volunteer at their schools. In fact, it was through that volunteerism that I realized how much I wanted to teach. I am very thankful to Richard for giving me that opportunity and for solely supporting us while I was in school. I only hope that in a short period of time, life will become easier for him. He deserves it.
