Angela's Story
MY LIFE
Moved to New York right after school - no particular reason, just to see life outside of Phoenix. Returned to Phoenix and got married to Nick (Kenneth) Hansen, class of 1990 - best friend of Jay Jones. Loved to wrestle and play football. He and Jay went to NAU for a couple of years before returning to Phoenix. Nick and I were married in 1994, and as luck would have it, we were blessed with a son, (Aiden Creed Hansen)-who just happened to finish his sophmore year at PVHS!!! Life happened and Nick and I were divorced in 1998. I returned to ASU to get my Nursing Degree and was lucky enough to graduate Magna or Suma (who remembers:except my Mom) Cum Laude, as well as a member of Sigma Theta Tau (Nursing Honor Roll). Received my BSN in 2001 and worked as an L&D nurse before finding my true love, and that was the OR! I was blessed enough to be employed at the AZ Heart Hospital in the OR, and worked my way up to thecharge nurse for the OR. Met and married an awesome guy!! He was my son's baseball coach, so it worked out well. We married on October 22, 2005, No longer working at the Heart Hospital due to a back injury. Am now a stay at home mom, though my kids don't need me (except for $$$$$!!!) Can no longer work so I get to suffer at home. Luckily God did bless me with THE most wonderful husband prior to my injury. He certaintly sent me an angel to take care of me because I never imagined what it would be like to love someone a much as I love him. 2 kids....mine and his + 1 great big dog. le, an awesome musician and visual artist, and Collin (turned 17 in June;5 months older than Aiden) is our jock. Loves to play and compete in ANYTHING...even who can eat more hot hogs in one setting!!! Silly guy!!! He played football for freshman and most of soph year. Now VERY into wrestling and body building. I swear everytime that boy passes a mirror he has to stop and pose!! HA HA. I think that was verbose enough. Gonna sign off. Take care everyone and keep in touch! ;-)
I always wanted to be a nurse when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right.
My heroes are all of the men and women in the military who fight hard for our freedom. They sacrifice so much, and don't get much in return.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Lisa Wagner, because we had a lot of fun together.
Don't take yourself too seriously. Learn to live in the here and now - enjoy each day as it comes.
I am truly happy with where my life is now. Took a while to get here, but wouldn't change a thing.
My current age is 37. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be OLD. I was so completely wrong, feel like life is getting better the older I get.
My first crush was James Dutcher (not a student). We met and started dating my junior year of HS. Last I heard, he is still single and has a son but that was a while ago.
My first job was at Safeway, where I got paid next to nothing. What I remember most about it is they made me clean the mens restroom and it was disgusting. I quit the next day.
